In a sculptural and abstract language, Menadi ceramic vases describe an archaic ritual which perpetuates the mystical union between the human and the divine, between nature and spirituality

In the Hellenic tradition, the Maenads were female followers of Dionysus who, through wild dances and initiation rites, were able to merge and become one with God himself. This process was ‘invasive’ in both the literal and figurative senses of the word; they allowed themselves to be filled with the divine in order to become divine themselves, in a mystical and transcendent unification. In this state of possession and union, the Maenads gained exceptional abilities like those of the gods and were able to perform wonders, to prophesy, and to manipulate the forces of nature.

It is from this powerful vision, both ancient and modern, that our Menadi vases are born, bodies suspended in the convulsive momentum of a step in an impetuous dance, traversed by the vital energy that makes the world vibrate, shaken by that divine spark which continuously aspires to elevation. A tale in which our nature is still echoed today, which is both profoundly material and spiritual and our inseparable bond with Nature and the Divine understood in its most universal sense.

Menadi vases are available in five colours with a matte finish on the outside and a polished interior, or an entirely polished finish. In addition to the wide range of colours and finishes available, these vases also come in two sizes, allowing you to create countless compositions and veritable choreographies that celebrate pure spatial volumes and all the natural beauty of ceramic.
